DIY Room & Linen Aromatherapy Spray

It's about time for me to mention my friend Sylvia. We easily go back a decade and longer and she's always full of interesting conversation and ideas. I initially became interested in the natural products and essential oil soy candles with her introduction. She recently brought me a house warming gift that she made herself and I am going to share this with my readers today.

Recipe:
  • 1/4 part Vodka
  • 3/4 part distilled water
  • 10 drops lemongrass essential oil
  • 10 drops sweet orange essential oil
  • 3 drops peppermint essential oil
The above measurement of oil is per 1 cup of room spray. Sylvia doubled the above recipe for the whole bottle. Vodka acts as the emulsifier that mixes water and essential oil. You will find your essential oil floating when the bottle is sat still, so do shake it before using the spray. She chose lemongrass, sweet orange, & peppermint which blends very well.

The best part is that you can make your own organic fragrance for your bedroom!

Essential oils have powerful effects on our moods and hormones too. Lavender is known to have a soothing effect that nurtures you to sleep. On the other hand, peppermint and lemongrass has alerting effects and help you express your abilities to the fullest. Drop of peppermint oil around behind your ear can help you reduce headache and stress level. I know I will have no problem falling asleep but I am extremely happy with this great alternative to Febreeze!

If one would like to maximize the functionality of essential oils... :-)
