Buongiorno Venezia!

Venice is one of the cities that I encounter in Hollywood movies quite often: couple of 007 movies including Casino Royal, the Tourist, and Italian Job! I have been to Venice for the second time now and it probably is one of the most stunningly beautiful cities I've been to.

Being surrounded by water, and that's quite literally, visiting Venice in gorging summer may not be the greatest idea. You will still enjoy it and its beauty & the romance never goes away, but one may be drained from the heat and the humidity more easily. I remember my last visit in August of 2011 somewhat close to my above description. This time was middle of October for Canadian thanksgiving week. It was just perfect! Now please join me in my photo journal for my trip to Venezia!

Today's Sky

I wanted to document the beautiful blue sky from today - for in this Raincouver, I wouldn't be surprised it continues to rain for 5 months.
Let's just hope that be shortened to half of that for this winter. I love you, Vancity! <3

YSL Baby doll Kiss & Blush: 8, 10

Hello, this is Vivian!
Today I brought you a review of YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Lips & Cheeks 08, Pink Hedoniste and 10 Nude Insolent. These colors were particularly popular in S. Korea because the heroine of the hit drama "It's okay It's love (괜찮아, 사랑이야)" wore the colors in the show.

I believe the South Korean Actress Hyo-Jin Gong is wearing 10 Nude Insolent in the above photo.

My latest obsession: Co-ords & Bold Prints

Yes, I like colorful tights, unique designs, and maybe some other questionable outfits. I've always been fond of big-statement bold prints and now I've found what is better than that: bold printed co-ords!

Here are few of my recent purchases from Gmarket. Gmarket is South Korea based online shopping mall where millions of individual sellers have their mini shop within it. The website provides worldwide shipping. Since shopping in Korea can be very cheap (depends on where you go, obviously), sometimes finding the ONE and paying a bit of shipping fee may still be cheaper than what we find here in North America. You still have to pick and choose and may fail numerous times.

Foodie Trip: Dim sum time!

Hello all! It's Vivian again.
October 27th was my husband's and my 2nd anniversary. Instead of doing something extravegant for the event, I wanted to spend the day just as same as our other "normal" days. Every second we share together is a special moment after all / wink wink!

Aaaaanywayssss, to serve of to my recent dimsum craving, we decided to go to Richmond where I call it as Vancouver's China. Vancouver is a city with diverse cultures (I, myself is also from S. Korea). Because of it's diversity, we get to experience close to authentic cuisines from different A city that's perfect for foodies like us!!

Dim sum is usually served between lunch and dinner(approx 11am~3pm) as a small snack, however, I usually come back home very, very full. I suppose dim sum being a snack level only speaks of how elaborate and extravagant their cuisine can be. And you'll know what I mean!

Paris Je t'aime!

I like travelling but I don't enjoy being an obvious tourist.  I have never gone on group tours but I absolutely refuse to as well.  It's like cramming for an exam - the tour guides are very helpful in explaining the important bits but we only touch on the "important bits."  Maybe I want to explore the other sides too!
My latest trip to Paris (/pa.ˈʁi/) was perfect in that sense because I was hanging out with "the local" - my closest female cousin who lives in Lyon. I spent 8 days in Paris and will recommend a few places/things to do.

Tea Tasting with Tea Sparrow

"We are poets, engineers, athletes, artists, lovers of nature - and fanatics of tea. Make each cup as timeless as mountains around us. Make loose leaf tea your everyday luxury."
Maybe I haven't acquired the taste of coffee despite my love for everything of Italian. I've always defined myself as a tea drinker and I always will be.

Being tea enthusiasts, Vivian and I attended a tea tasting convention here in Vancouver. Held by Tea Sparrow, there we went around the room tasting 20 different types of green, white, oolong, black tea blends and also purchase the loose tea leaves we fall in love with.

You don't have to worry about a tight pocketbook; just need a few ingredients that are in your pantry.

Tdot_Fall Colours

Hey guys,

I'm Jane: one dearest friend of Natalie - haha!

I decided to partake in kira-kira blogging so I could share some of the amazing places I've been to in Toronto and other vicinity.  My interest mainly lies in photography, cosmetics, and of course good food!

My first post is on my recent trip to Algonquin Provincial Park and Rouge Park, where everyone falls in love with the beautiful foliage one will face in just north of Toronto.  On my birthday weekend, my girlfriend Kathleen asked me if I could accompany her camping trip to Algonquin park.  I knew it falls right during the peak colorful season (which usually lasts from late Sept to early Oct) and simply could not say no.

So here it

Montreal & Quebec City

Within Canada, city of Toronto is the major hub of travelling and offers variety of transportation to nearby cities. We flew to Montreal this time, and of course this was before I fell in love with the trains, and being a cheap student, I had done way too many 10 hour bus rides to New York already.

Quebec is exquisitely beautiful in a way it captures the essence of mini-Europe.

I was accompanied by my photographer friend Jane and here are the photos (much better than my iPhone shots to be followed in other posts... tee hee!)

Natalie

Hi,

I'm Natalie. I'm affectionate, emotional, somewhat reserved, and foolishly romantic. I consider myself a tad bit traveled and decided to make a blog to document my past and exciting future adventures to come!

A few of my friends will be joining me in this exciting project to add rich flavors down the road.

Welcome!
