Joey's Tomatoes Coquitlam is a special place to my husband and I because it is where we first met! I don't know if it was the lighting, but he looked extremely handsome. LOL (I told Nat first time we met for tea about how I thought Ryan looked like a famous actor in Korea and her politeness vanished in that instant. Tee hee!)
For that reason, whenever we have a special occasion, such as our anniversary or birthdays, we go to Joey's to remember the first dinner we had together. We also enjoy this place because as a casual dinning restaurant, the price is not too expensive for the quality and amount of food, and of course the service is pretty good too.

We ordered Calamari and Sweet chili chicken as appetizers. They were crisp and delicious! We especially enjoyed the chilli chicken because it was similar to Korean style deep-fried chicken but with a fusion kick.
We asked to divide the salad in half and served in different dishes. Our server was nice enough to do that to our entire order. Anyways, this is The Beach Salad which is one of my favorites! Fresh strawberries, avocado, candied pecans, and quinoa is coated with sweet vinegrette dressing. Who said healthy couldn't be delicious?
This dish was also divided in half but it was still huge! Rotisserie chicken and BBQ pork ribs with mashed potatoes. I found the chicken a bit too dry though.
This is a Protein Burger my husband ordered. Juicy patty and fresh buns tasted very good. The Veggie Soup it was served with was too salty for us :-( We were very happy and full by the time we left Joey's. They also have various locations throughout Vancouver and I believe the ones in downtown is fancier than Coquitlam restaurant thus it would be nice for a hip date night or partying with friends.
