* what you need:
- Milk
- Hazelnut syrup
- Milk pot
- Frother (or a whisk)
- Your favorite mugs
+ Your favorite person (in my case, my hubby)
1. Warm your milk on low heat. Make sure your stove in on low because you don't want to boil your milk. Boiling you milk will ruthlessly destroy the nutrients in milk.
2. While milk is warming, add hazelnut syrup into your mug. The syrup is pretty sweet so I only added 2 pumps.
3. Turn off the heat once bubbles start to form on the edge of the pot. Scalding milk will cause that ikky protein film and also scorch the flavour of milk.
4. Pour milk into mug and stir it. If you don't have a frother, using a hand whisk, whisk warm milk in a deep bowl before pouring into mug.
5. Froth. Becareful not to overflow it! (which i did..lol)
6. Now enjoy with your loved ones.
I had it with La Chocolaterie's earl grey chocolate which I got at cloverdale's craft fair last weekend. Here is a link to their website: http://coconama.com
It's been raining a lot in Vancouver lately and unfortunately I don't get along with it too well...
However, a cup of warm hazelnut milk with my hun in front of the fireplace made the sound of the rain sound like music.
Wishing you all a very warm and romantic day as well.
xoxo Vivian
p.s.
what is your go to drink on a cold rainy morning?
